For the fallen,
For the forgotten,
For the memories of the survivors,
For the survivors of the memories,
For those who fought,
For those who are fighting,
For those who lost,
For those who returned,
For the ones who had to,
For the ones who didn’t have to but did,
For the ones who want to,
I salute you.
Honoring and remembering the lost Heroes of Operation Red Wings… Never Forgotten
via Seal of Honor
Every year, on Memorial Day as well as on the celebration day of my birth, I take the time out to thank the Lord for our men and women at home and abroad. 28th June 2005, I celebrated my 20th birthday. On that same day I also mourned the deaths of 3 of the 4 men of Operation Red Wings, as well as the QRF of 8 Navy SEALs and 8 Army Night Stalkers who were killed when their helicopter was shot down in the Kumar Province, Afghanistan. I did not know these men but their deaths are something that I always remember. I honor them along with their brothers and sisters in arms that fight for their country. Every day should be appreciated because someone lost their lives fighting for their country and, in essence, so that each of us can continue living and enjoying the freedoms that have been so hard won.
HOOYAH to these brave men. God Bless.
